The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have waived cornerback Cam Smith off the reserve/non-football illness list.
Smith has appeared in 21 career games in two seasons with the Dolphins (2023-24), recording 18 tackles (14 solo). He entered the NFL as a second-round (51st overall) selection by Miami in the 2023 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at South Carolina (2019-22), where he was a four-year letterman and a two-year starter. He played in 33 games with 19 starts for the Gamecocks and earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2021 and 2022. Smith totaled six interceptions and 24 passes defensed in his final three collegiate seasons (2020-22).
