Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for his performance in November, the NFL announced Thursday.
It is Achane's first career AFC Offensive Player of the Month honor and Miami's first Player of the Month award since kicker Jason Sanders was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month in December 2024. The recognition also marks the Dolphins' first AFC Offensive Player of the Month award since October 2023 when wide receiver Tyreek Hill earned the accolade.
Achane led the NFL with 495 rushing yards on 79 carries (6.3 avg.) and three touchdowns, while adding 17 receptions for 135 yards for a total of 630 yards from scrimmage from Weeks 9 to 13. His 630 yards from scrimmage were the most in the AFC, while his 6.3 rushing average led the conference and ranked second in the NFL in that span.
He recorded three consecutive games of at least 100 rushing yards in the month of November, becoming the first Dolphins player to record at least three such games in a row since Reggie Bush in 2011.
Achane had one of his most impressive performances in Miami's Week 10 victory over the Buffalo Bills. He recorded 22 rushing attempts for 174 rushing yards (7.9 avg.) and two touchdowns, while adding six receptions for 51 yards. His 225 yards from scrimmage that week were the second most of his career, behind his 233 against Denver in 2023, and seventh most by a Dolphins player in franchise history.
Achane followed his Week 10 performance by leading the league in rushing yards in Week 11. He rushed 21 times for 120 yards (5.7 avg.) in Miami's victory over the Commanders in Madrid, the NFL's first regular-season game played in Spain.
He had another stellar performance in Week 13 against the Saints, rushing for 134 yards on 22 carries (6.1 avg.) and one touchdown. Achane ranked third in the league and second in the AFC in rushing yards that week, surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career. He became the fourth player in Dolphins history to record 1,000 rushing yards in the first 12 games of the season, joining Larry Csonka (1972), Delvin Williams (1978) and Ricky Williams (2002 & 2003).
Overall, Achane has recorded 186 rushing attempts for 1,034 yards (5.6 avg.) and six touchdowns this year, along with 54 receptions for 370 yards (6.9 avg.) and four touchdowns. His 1,034 rushing yards and 5.6 rushing average both rank third in the NFL entering Week 14, while his 54 receptions and four receiving touchdowns are both tied for the second most among running backs.
