Dolphins Elevate Riley Patterson and Jeff Wilson Jr.

The Miami Dolphins announced today they have elevated kicker Riley Patterson and running back Jeff Wilson Jr. to the active roster for Sunday's game.

Patterson has appeared in 44 career games in four seasons with Detroit (2021, 2023), Jacksonville (2022), Cleveland (2023-24), the New York Jets (2024) and Atlanta (2024). He has converted 63-of-74 career field goal attempts (85.1 pct.), along with 109-of-113 extra points (96.5 pct.). Patterson has also appeared in three postseasons contests with Jacksonville in 2022 and Cleveland in 2023. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Minnesota in 2021. He played collegiately at Memphis (2017-20), where he appeared in 52 career games, converting 64-of-83 field goal attempts (77.1 pct) in four seasons with the Tigers.

Wilson Jr. has appeared in 72 career games with 16 starts in seven seasons with San Francisco (2018-22) and Miami (2022-24). He has recorded 2,370 rushing yards on 531 carries (4.5 avg.) with 18 touchdowns along with 74 receptions for 585 receiving yards (7.9 avg.) and five touchdowns in his career. In his first stint with Miami, Wilson Jr. played in 27 games with one start. He totaled 637 rushing yards on 141 attempts (4.5 avg.) with three touchdowns while adding 29 receptions for 198 receiving yards and one touchdown in his three seasons with the Dolphins. Wilson Jr. entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with San Francisco in 2018. He played collegiately at North Texas (2014-17), where he appeared in 41 games with 28 starts and totaled 561 carries for 3,205 yards (5.7 avg.) and 32 touchdowns, along with 70 receptions for 527 yards (7.5 avg.) and two receiving touchdowns.
