Dolphins Make Roster Moves

The Miami Dolphins announced today they have activated cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. off the injured reserve list. The team also elevated cornerback Isaiah Johnson and tight end Hayden Rucci to the active roster for tonight's game.

Johnson has appeared in one career game with the Dolphins (2025), having made his NFL debut in Miami's Week 6 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Miami in 2024 and spent the season on the practice squad. He played his final two collegiate seasons at Syracuse (2022-23), where he appeared in 25 games with 19 starts and totaled 115 tackles (74 solo), two interceptions, nine passes defensed and one forced fumble. He began his career at Dartmouth (2018-21), where he earned first-team All-Ivy League honors in 2021 after registering 55 tackles (38 solo), one interception returned for a touchdown and seven passes defensed.

Marshall Jr. has appeared in three career games with Miami (2025) and has recorded three tackles (two solo). He entered the NFL as a fifth-round selection (150th overall) by Miami in the 2025 NFL Draft. Marshall Jr. played collegiately at Florida (2021-24), where he was a four-year starter. He appeared in 45 games with 39 starts and tallied 98 tackles (68 solo), 1.0 sack, two interceptions, 27 passes defensed and one forced fumble in four seasons with the Gators. A Miami native, Marshall Jr. attended Miami Palmetto Senior High School, where he was a first-team all-state selection.

Rucci has appeared in one career game with the Dolphins (2025), having made his NFL debut in Miami's Week 8 matchup at Atlanta. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Dolphins in 2024 and has had multiple stints on Miami's practice squad. He played collegiately at Wisconsin, where he appeared in 36 games with 18 starts during four seasons (2020-23). He caught 17 passes for 200 yards (11.8 avg.) and one touchdown for the Badgers and was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2020, 2021 and 2023.
