The Miami Dolphins announced today they have signed linebacker Caleb Johnson to the active roster off the practice squad and signed linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo to the practice squad.
Ciarlo has appeared in one career game with Buffalo (2025). He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the New York Jets in 2024 and spent the season on the injured reserve list. Ciarlo played collegiately at Army (2020-23), where he appeared in 40 career games with 24 starts, recording 121 tackles (52 solo), 3.0 sacks, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in four seasons with the Black Knights.
Johnson has appeared in 65 career games in four seasons with Chicago (2021) and Jacksonville (2022-24), recording one tackle, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in addition to 37 special teams tackles (24 solo). He also appeared in two postseason games with Jacksonville in 2022. Johnson entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Chicago in 2021. He played collegiately at Houston Christian (2016-20), where he appeared in 39 career games with 25 starts and recorded 278 tackles (103 solo), 10.0 sacks, one interception, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and six fumble recoveries.
