The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed the following six players to reserve/future contracts: wide receiver AJ Henning, defensive tackle Alex Huntley, linebacker Derrick McLendon, linebacker K.C. Ossai, offensive lineman Josh Priebe and offensive lineman Kion Smith.
Henning entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Miami in 2025 and spent the season on the practice squad. He spent his final two collegiate seasons at Northwestern (2023-24), where he played in 24 games with 19 starts and recorded 104 receptions for 1,021 yards (9.8 avg.) and eight touchdowns. He added 118 rushing yards on 32 attempts (3.7 avg.) and one touchdown, along with 15 kickoff returns for 330 yards (22.0 avg.) and 22 punt returns for 205 yards (9.3 avg.). Henning transferred from Michigan following the 2022 season after playing in 33 games with three starts in three seasons with the Wolverines (2020-22).
Huntley entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Miami in 2025 and spent the season on the practice squad. He played collegiately at South Carolina (2020-24), where he appeared in 50 games with 19 starts and recorded 82 tackles (46 solo), 4.0 sacks, 8.0 tackles for loss and six passes defensed. He was named a team captain in 2023 and 2024. Huntley was a five-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection (2020-24) and earned Freshman All-SEC honors in 2021.
McLendon has spent two seasons on Miami's practice squad (2024-25) and made his NFL debut in 2025 in the Week 18 matchup at New England. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Carolina in 2024, where he spent the offseason program and training camp. McLendon finished his collegiate career at Colorado (2023), where he appeared in 12 games and recorded 14 tackles (10 solo), 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and four fumble recoveries. He transferred to Colorado from Florida State (2019-22) where he played in 38 games in four seasons and recorded 61 tackles (19 solo), 7.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Ossai was signed to Miami's practice squad on Dec. 15, 2025. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Houston in 2025, where he had a brief stint on the practice squad. Ossai played collegiately at Louisiana (2021-24), where he appeared in 52 career games with 26 starts and recorded 278 tackles (135 solo), 1.5 sacks, one interception, five passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Priebe entered the league as an undrafted college free agent with Miami in 2025 and spent the season on the practice squad. He played his final collegiate season at Michigan (2024), where he started all 13 games at left guard and was an All-Big Ten selection. Prior to Michigan, Priebe was four-year letterman at Northwestern (2020-23), where he appeared in 36 games with 29 starts along the interior offensive line, primarily at left guard. Priebe was named a team captain and earned All-Big Ten honors in 2023.
Smith has played in 23 career games with two starts at right guard in two seasons with the Dolphins (2023, 2025). He has also spent two seasons on Miami's practice squad (2021-22) and the 2024 season on injured reserve. Smith entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent in 2021 with Atlanta, where he spent the offseason and training camp before signing with Miami. He was a three-year starter at Fayetteville State (2016-17, 2019), where he earned first-team All-CIAA honors in 2019.
