Dolphins sign two players

The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed long snapper Tucker Addington and punter Seth Vernon.

Addington has appeared in 10 career games in three seasons with New England (2022, 2024), Washington (2023) and Miami (2024). He entered the NFL in 2022 as a free agent with Dallas, where he spent time on the practice squad. Prior to his practice squad stint with the Cowboys, Addington played for the Houston Gamblers—now known as the Roughnecks—of the USFL in 2022. He played collegiately at Sam Houston State, where he appeared in 34 games in four seasons with the Bearkats (2016-19).

Vernon entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Atlanta in 2022. He spent the offseason and training camp with Minnesota before spending time on Tampa Bay's practice squad in 2024. He spent the 2025 season with the Michigan Panthers of the UFL, appearing in nine games and recording 23 punts for 1,044 yards (45.4 avg.) with eight punts pinned inside the 20. Vernon played collegiately at Portland State (2019-21), where he appeared in 24 games, tallying 93 punts for 4,148 yards (44.6 avg.) with 24 punts landing inside the 20.
