Miami Dolphins Make Roster Moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed offensive lineman Ireland Brown and cornerback Jason Maitre. Both participated in Miami's rookie minicamp last weekend on a tryout basis.

Brown played four seasons (2020-23) for Rutgers, where he appeared in 33 games. After seeing action in five games and recording three tackles on the defensive line as a sophomore in 2020, Brown moved to the offensive line for the remainder of his collegiate career, where he played in 28 games with 17 starts – 11 at center and six at left guard. Brown transferred from Boston College, where he appeared in nine games and recorded six tackles (four solo) as a freshman in 2019.

Maitre spent his final collegiate season at Wisconsin, where he played in 12 games with nine starts and totaled 33 tackles (24 solo), one interception and four passes defensed. Maitre transferred from Boston College, where he spent five years (2018-22) and tallied 133 tackles (86 solo), 4.0 sacks, three interceptions and 22 passes defensed in 44 games for the Eagles.
