Training Camp Preview 2025: Wide Receivers

A brand-new season of Dolphins football is around the corner and we're getting you ready for the start of training camp!

Over the next two weeks, we'll be looking at the entirety of the Dolphins 91-man roster and providing a cheat sheet for when the action begins at the Baptist Health Training Complex.

Wide Receivers

The Cast (In numerical order):

  • 6 Malik Washington
  • 10 Tyreek Hill
  • 17 Jaylen Waddle
  • 18 Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
  • 19 Andrew Armstrong
  • 48 Monaray Baldwin
  • 81 Theo Wease Jr.
  • 82 Dee Eskridge
  • 83 Tahj Washington
  • 84 Erik Ezukanma
  • 86 Tarik Black
  • 88 A.J. Henning

Few receivers can do what Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle do. Their speed headlines the marquee, and all the space they create both in the vertical passing game but also moving about the formation before the snap, requires pristine conditioning. The crafty nature of their route running is where these two stars shine brightest. Attacking leverage and winning to areas of the field the defense is trying to remove is the mark of a premiere wideout, and both players are plenty capable.

The cast around Hill and Waddle should help Miami achieve desired apportioning. Malik Washington provided value as a return man early in his rookie campaign before a bigger role down the stretch produced 16 receptions for 169 yards in his final four games.

One of the Dolphins best under-the-radar acquisitions of the offseason was Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Averaging 15.5 yards per reception and scoring nine touchdowns on just 32 receptions last year speaks to his efficiency as a pass catcher. However, his work in the run game what could have the biggest net impact on the offense. The Titans used him the way most clubs deploy their tight ends as blockers.

The depth of the room will be driven by competition. Dee Eskridge looked like a cutdown day find before an injury cost him some time, but he picked up where he left off during spring practices. Tahj Washington's game-breaking speed was sidelined before the first game of his rookie season and Erik Ezukanma is looking to make his mark in Year 4.

There's plenty of size in the remainder of the room. Tarik Black caught on with the Dolphins practice squad last season. Black and Theo Wease Jr. stand at 6-foot-3 while Andrew Armstrong goes 6 feet, 4 inches tall. Another pair of undrafted rookies have the wiggle. Monaray Baldwin ran a 4.32 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine and A.J. Henning averaged 11.3 yards per punt return last season at Northwestern.

The Dolphins will be back on the field next week for training camp, and you can be in the stands at the Baptist Health Training Complex starting Saturday, July 26. Parking and admission are free, but tickets must be reserved. Learn more here.
