NFL Network's Bucky Brooks Talks Dolphins Draft

The scouting combine is veritable who's who of NFL lore. Former executives and scouts turned on-air personalities hover about, offering up their expertise regarding the NFL's biggest offseason event – the draft.

Wednesday in Indianapolis we caught up with former player and scout, and current Move the Sticks Podcast co-host, Bucky Brooks. Brooks’ mock draft 2.0 published Tuesday on NFL.com. With three picks in the first round, Brooks slots a quarterback, cornerback and running back to Miami on night-one.

First, with the fifth pick, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa takes his talents to South Beach in this mock draft.

"The Dolphins need a young QB1 to build around," Brooks writes. "Despite the injury history, he is the most talented quarterback prospect in the class."

Next up for the Dolphins in Brooks' mock draft, with the 18th pick, another Alabama product: cornerback Trevon Diggs. "Brian Flores could use another long, rangy athlete to matchup with the big-bodied WR1s around the league," Brooks details.

Wrapping up Miami's first-round haul, Brooks tabs Georgia running back D'Andre Swift to the Dolphins. "Swift would add some pop to the Dolphins' RB room," Brooks writes. "He's a true three-down back, possessing explosive skills as both a runner and receiver."

We'll have more with Bucky, as well as former Washington Redskins and Houston Texans General Manager Charley Casserly on the Drive Time Podcast.
